BOMIS PRENDIN - "Phantom Limb" Flexi Disc - U.S. independently released 9", 33 1/3 flexi disc on Artifacts Records (D.C.) - With this their second release Wash., D.C. based Bomis Prendin once again extend high tech, state of the art electronics beyond mere modernism and perhaps even beyond futurism to create on "Phantom Limb" a near absolute of visionary electronic expressionism - a sequence of awesome, sometimes chilling passages from the cerebral cortex of the brushed steel machine, uncluttered and devoid of human sentimentality, passions and foibles, creating with pure aural electronic impulses and distortion suspenseful scenarios often possessed with a strange beauty and serenity. These are frought with abstract imagery which beams and swirls outward towards what one would assume to be infinity. Bomis Prendin's "Phantom Limb" is a totally absorbing landmark piece of electronic exploration and experimentation. Highly recommended.
