"And the Winners Are...
Bomis Prendin: Test(ed)--Artifacts 3-01951. It's always been hard for me to imagine a world of new music that I dig outside of rock'n'roll, but here it is. Bomis Prendin ( a group, including a fellow of that name) plays future pop that is radically different., yet still appealing and accessible. On this 24-minute flexi-disc (!), unmusical squawks and scratches float in and out of the composition to create beautiful, flowing songs. Guitar or bass surface occasionally, but for the most part Bomis Prendin eschews traditional instrumentation. [Test's music is both electronic and humanistic.] "
